Student, Faculty, & Staff Tickets

Sam Houston State University students, faculty, and staff are eligible for a free ticket to performances. Some restrictions may apply. See the specific event listing for details. To obtain and Student or Faculty/Staff ticket, select Student/Staff Sign In on the homepage to log in with the University’s Single Sign-On system.

Accessing Your Tickets

Once you’ve completed your order, you will receive a confirmation email within five minutes.

If you choose E-Ticket (digital delivery), you’ll also receive a PDF document containing your ticket(s) with a scannable QR code. On the day of the event, present your digital ticket(s) upon arrival, or bring a printed copy for our staff to scan.

If you choose Will Call, your ticket(s) will be available for pick up at the Box Office on the day of the event. Please bring a valid government-issued ID. Will Call is available two hours prior to the start time of each event.

Event Parking

CAM event parking may be available in the Zone 1 — East 6 lot located east of the Gaertner Performing Arts Center and University Theatre Center (corner of Bobby K Marks Drive and 17th
Street). Additional parking may be available in the pay-by-hour Sam Houston Parking Garage (1730 Avenue I) or Huntsville Street parking (along Bobby K Marks Drive) using the ParkMobile app.

Accessibility Parking & Seating

The College of Arts & Media is happy to assist those with accessibility needs. Designated accessible seating and parking is available for all events. To request a listening device, please call us at least two weeks in advance of the event you plan to attend. SHSU generally allows service animals on campus, in university buildings and facilities, and at university events when accompanied by a person with a disability. Admission Policy

A ticket is required for entry to all events listed on the Box Office. Children two years of age and younger do not require a ticket, provided they sit on an adult’s lap. Some of our events may contain adult content and will be explicitly noted in the event description. Viewer discretion is advised.

Exit and re-entry is permitted unless explicitly noted. Guests must present their ticket(s) to re-enter, and an usher may delay re-entry until there is an appropriate pause in the performance. Only authorized personnel are permitted backstage at any event.

Code of Conduct

Guests attending any College of Arts & Media event must comply with all Sam Houston State University policies. Profanity, violence, derogatory comments, or other intimidating actions of any kind toward performers, staff, or other guests will not be tolerated. If a ticket holder’s conduct endangers or disrupts a performance, staff, students, or other patrons, the College of Arts & Media reserves the right to remove the ticket holder from the premises or disallow entry.

Cell Phone & Camera Policy

Out of respect for our performers and guests, the use of cell phones during any performance is not permitted. Please silence your cell phones and any other mobile devices prior to the start of the performance. If you have a personal emergency, please step out of the venue and silence your device prior to re-entry.

Due to copyright laws, the use of cameras, flash photography, camcorders, and other recording devices of any kind is prohibited and grounds for removal from the venue.

Prohibited & Restricted Items

The College of Arts & Media reserves the right to inspect visitors’ bags or personal property and restrict any outside food or beverages. Sealed plastic bottles of water are permitted. The following items are strictly prohibited at all College of Arts & Media events and are grounds for removal from the venue:

  • Outside food and beverages
  • Glass bottles, cans, thermoses, ice chests, and coolers
  • Smoking, vaping, or drug use of any kind
  • Noisemakers, laser pointers, and other disruptive items

This list is not exhaustive, and other items may be prohibited at the sole discretion of the College of Arts & Media.

Lost Items & Security

The College of Arts & Media is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items of personal property. In the event an item is found, it will be held in the Box Office.

Sam Houston State University Police may be onsite for events. In the event of an emergency, call 936.294.1000 to reach the University Police Department or 911 for local dispatch. For non-emergency concerns, call 936.294.1800.

Exchange & Refund Policy

Except in the case of event cancellation, tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. In the case of event cancellation or postponement, you may contact the Box Office to inquire about possible refunds or exchanges. Authorized refunds and exchanges may only be available for a limited time and may require proof of original sale. Tickets to events or performances that proceed, even in the case of inclement weather, are not eligible for refund or exchange. Ticket prices include all applicable taxes unless otherwise indicated.
